Beat-Building Jam Session @ The Sweatshop

Details
We will be gathering at The Sweatshop for an Information / Jam session using Ableton Live. I reserved a small room at my own expense ($46 total) so suggested donations of $10 are encouraged, but not required. I'd like to start building a dedicated community of people who meet regularly to learn from each other's projects and create beautiful music together. At our first gathering in this new format, we will be using the drum rack, audio and midi clips and various samples to illustrate just how easy it is to get started generating musical ideas with the program. Then, we will combine our laptops together to see if we can crowd-source an entirely original composition. If you have no experience with Ableton, this is a great place to start. That being said, even if you already understand the concepts we cover in the lesson, we encourage you to attend anyway to share your knowledge and contribute to our collaboration. Looking forward to seeing you at The Sweatshop!
What to bring:
Laptop, Installed Copy of Ableton Live, Some Samples of Your Choosing.
You can get a free trial of ableton live here:
https://www.ableton.com/en/trial/
There are many places to find free samples, (great google search) but here are a few off the bat:
Important to know:
I'd like to stress that there is no required donation to attend, and the money I'm soliciting is only to mitigate the expense of using the space. I don't want to turn anyone away due to lack of resources, your contributions as artists mean more to me than your financial contributions. We're all here to help each other. Please make sure however, that you only RSVP if you plan on actually attending the meetup. No-Shows make the entire process of planning for room size much more difficult.
