If you’re thinking about moving your servers or applications to the cloud, or dreaming of a single deployment that you can deploy on-demand to multiple public cloud providers at the click of a button, this talk is for you.
In this presentation we’ll discuss some fundamental differences between running on-premise servers and in the cloud, touching on topics around horizontal vs. vertical scaling, spot pricing, state management, architecting your n-tier application for the cloud including the role of orchestration and configuration products, and a number of other issues around the topic of cloud deployments. Will also give a demo of ScaleXtreme’s Advanced Cloud Management product, which itself is delivered as a cloud service, to illustrate and dive deeper into many of these topics.
