In this discussion we will pull back the curtain of the architecture of a fun demo application purpose built for the cloud. We will focus on demonstrating how we leveraged compute, storage, messaging, and other cloud elements hosted at SoftLayer to lower the effort and difficulty of putting together a useful application. Phil is the Development Community Advocate for SoftLayer, an IBM Company. He helps customers and partners integrate with SoftLayer’s API. He also architects the company’s Drupal websites, writes API documentation, and maintains the developer blog. Formerly, he was a Sales Engineer building internal tools and providing technical consultation for potential and existing customers. Jackson started his career in webhosting at Ev1Servers where he led the training department.
