Join Galvanize for an evening lecture on data science applications in healthcare. This lecture is a research based investigation into subfields of healthcare analytics and biotechnology, with contemporary case-studies highlighting machine-learning based improvements.

Topics covered include:

Health system management
Pre/post-care Monitoring
Diagnosis and Treatment
Wearable Sensors
Drug Discovery

We will discuss these topics as well as have a period at the end of the lecture for further discussion.

Target Audience:

This discussion is geared towards current healthcare analytics, engineering, biology or other professionals thinking about a technology pivot into the wonderful field of data science and machine learning.

About Your Instructor:

Connor Slagle

I am a data scientist with a fondness for biotechnology, with degrees in both chemical and environmental engineering. Recent advances in data science are revolutionizing all aspects of contemporary business, from product refinement to customer identification; In no field is this as evident (or as exciting) as in biotechnology.

I’m focused on leveraging these skills to improve targeted, non-invasive drug delivery in oncology. Additionally, I love spreading my understanding of machine learning concepts through evangelism at Galvanize.
