Remote Facilitation Fundamentals

Details

A great facilitator makes it easy for groups of people to collaborate, make decisions and move projects forward. But, many of the things we take for granted in-person are the exact factors that can lead to a virtual session falling flat. This workshop provides a set of everyday tools and techniques for leading people and work in a virtual environment.

Key learning takeaways include:

  • Essential habits for everyday remote facilitation and how to adapt your facilitation voice for virtual settings
  • Leading sessions based on the needs of the group, not the features of the technology
  • Naming, communicating, and designing for the type of meeting you’re leading
  • Understanding common group dynamics in remote settings and how to plan for different learning styles, managing difficult personalities, and engaging all participants in conversation
  • Practices for keeping energy up and engagement consistent
  • Using your tools and your team to create accountability, documentation, and action outside of your session

NOTE This is a ticketed event. Once you buy a ticket, you'll be sent an email with the Zoom link and all other important information. If you'd like to attend (and we hope you do!) please purchase your spot at the link below:
