Title: High and Low Context DevOps Culture: Making DevOps environments easy for new and not-so-new employees
How much suffering comes from employees unable to find the information the need to do their job? A lot. When we create a low context culture, people are more productive and morale is higher because people can be both self-sufficient and more easily collaborate.
SPEAKER BIO:
Tom Limoncelli manages the SRE team at Stack Overflow (Stackoverflow.com) in New York City. He is an internationally recognized author, speaker, system administrator and DevOps advocate. His latest book, the 3rd edition of The Practice of System and Network Administration (http://the-sysadmin-book.com), launched in 2016. He is also known for The Practice of Cloud System Administration (http://the-cloud-book.com), and Time Management for System Administrators (O'Reilly). In 2005 he received the Usenix LISA Outstanding Achievement Award. Previously he's worked Google, Bell Labs / Lucent, AT&T and others.
