Transedelic (ONLINE): Psychedelic Peer Integration for Trans & Nonbinary

This is an online peer circle for transgender (all T/NB/GNC*) people to talk about, integrate, enthusiastically share, and get support with previous psychedelic experiences. Newcomers with harm-reduction or integration questions about psychedelics are welcome. The event will be conducted in English, but participants from anywhere are welcome (not limited to NYC).

We use Google Meet, which has AI live-captions for those who desire captions.

why?
Some transgender and gender-questioning people have found psychedelics valuable for experiencing gender in an altered and more open state of consciousness that is less enmeshed with transphobia. Psychedelics also help some people in creating the safety and will to hold their difficulty and trauma. This meeting is for sharing such experiences with other transgender people, and exploring the personal meanings of these experiences .

Meeting Format:
Peer facilitators will share grounding exercises, lightly moderate the discussion, and allow for more in-depth small-group conversation. Discussion will center participants' own experiences of psychedelics, the intersection of psychedelics and trans* identity, and/or experiences of trans* exclusion from retreat centers and psychedelic communities.

As a peer-circle, we are not a substitute for guidework, therapy, or spiritual mentorship. For safety, there will be no discussion of how to source substances that are suppressed in our jurisdictions. This is not a time to journey, but rather a space to talk about or integrate past journeys and to bring questions.

(*)TGNC: Our group is strictly for those who have a trans, nonbinary, gender non-conforming, or gender-questioning identity. Recognizing the inadequacy of labels, we will do our darndest to not gate-keep. However the meeting is not open to allies, researchers, media or curious onlookers. If you are trans*, think you might be, or know sincerely you are not comfortably cis-gendered, you are welcome here.
If it is your first time, please arrive on time, but feel free to leave early if necessary.
