350NYC Monthly Meeting, Wed. Feb. 28
• What we'll do 350NYC Monthly Meeting Wednesday, February 28th, 7 - 9 PM (newcomers orientation 6:30 - 7 PM) New York Society for Ethical Culture 2 West 64th St @Central Park West 350NYC (http://350nyc.org) is the the local affiliate of http://350.org , a grassroots network of volunteer-run campaigns in over 188 countries working to prevent climate chaos. Here in New York, we are working locally for a cleaner, greener, better New York City for everyone. Why the name 350NYC (http://350nyc.org)? 350 means climate safety. To preserve our planet, scientists tell us we must reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere from its current levels of over 400 parts per million to below 350 ppm. (More on the science of 350 (http://350.org/about/science/)). But 350 is more than a number—it’s a symbol of where we need to head as a planet. “To Change Everything, We Need Everyone” Come learn about us and get involved! NEW MEMBERS: If you're new to 350NYC please join us at 6:30pm for a brief orientation to the group, learn about our working groups and some of the campaigns we are currently involved with. Looking forward to seeing you. - The 350NYC Team http://wwww.350NYC.org - 350NYC@gmail.com Guest Speaker Charlote Binns - "What is Community Choice Aggregation & how does the policy affect you?" If you can never make meetings on Wednesday evening but want to get actively involved in one of our campaigns please email us at 350nyc@gmail.com and we'll follow up. We're excited about moving forward with you in 2018 to help ensure that NYC and NY State follow through on their promises to stand up to Trump and make progress towards a clean energy future. • What to bring • Important to know
