Join us for a delicious weekend escape filled with food, fun, and flavor! We’ve reserved a charming house in the Hudson Valley as the perfect home base to explore, learn, and indulge. On Saturday we’ll celebrate the lunar New Year with a special Asian themed cooking class/demonstration!
What’s Included
Friday Evening
Welcome dinner at Bocuse French Restaurant, located at the world-renowned Culinary Institute of America (CIA). A full three-course experience to kick off the weekend!
Saturday
Morning: Relax over a chef-prepared gourmet breakfast at the house. Eggs, Omelettes, bacon, ham, home made muffins, grains, coffee, tea juice.
Midday: Stroll through the shops of historic Rhinebeck, NY.
Lunch: Dine at The Egg, CIA’s award-winning student-run restaurant. (Menu changes daily)
Afternoon: Go behind the scenes at the CIA for a guided “History & Science of Taste” tour and demonstration. Then a visit to a local vineyard.
Evening: Hands-on (or watch-and-learn!) Lunar New Year Cooking Class/Demonstration back at the house. You’ll be amazed at how easy it is to create these dishes! You can help chop, fold, stir or just sit back and watch! Following the meal we’ll sit by the fire and chat.
Together we’ll prepare a menu featuring:

Vietnamese Lemongrass Pork
Vegetable Fried Rice

Breakfast back at The Egg at CIA.

Not included: train fare. Guests can either take the 4:15 pm Metro North train to Poughkeepsie or meet the group directly at the house at 6:30 pm Friday. Since not everyone drinks, samples at the vineyard are optional.
Good to Know
About The Class: You will learn step by step how to prepare each item on the menu. You can participate in chopping/mixing or just watch.
Cooking Instructor: Dave Cervini (trained at Peter Kumps & The New School for Culinary Arts)
Solo Travelers Welcome: Most guests attend on their own!
Dress Code: Casual and comfortable. Dress for the weather—some activities are outdoors.
