A Dandelion Grows on 14th Street - Pusteblume Fundraiser, May 17th, 6:30pm

Dear everyone,
It is with great excitement that I am able to announce that the three-year long effort to bring a non-profit German language preschool to Manhattan is finally becoming reality!  In the next month and a half, Pusteblume German Language Preschool will be opening its doors to its first classes of children.  We are centrally located and easily accessible for just about everyone in NYC with numerous major subway lines running right next to the school.  For now, we will have a month to month model, so for example, if you wanted to start your child June 1st, July 1st, or August 1st, etc. that would be a possibility.  In a short while, we will have our extremely reasonable tuition rates and applications available on line and will begin taking applications.
In the meantime, we are having a very important fundraiser for our new school on Thursday, May 17th to raise money to help with building out our classrooms and buying all the necessary items to make this one of the top preschools in the city.  If you are interested in attending and supporting Pusteblume, please have a look at our website and rsvp to the committee, (or get in touch directly with me).
If you are not able to attend, but still would like to contribute, there are several ways to do this.  You can donate on our website in several ways - either by contributing cash, or by going to our Amazon wishlist and buying something off of that for the children.  Until now, there has been no community institution for the German language community in New York City.  Please help us make this an enduring and top-quality place to educate our children with your financial support!
One other way to help is by giving your time.  We are still looking for a few more volunteers for the big fundraiser evening on May 17th.  If you are interested in helping, please contact me directly.  We'd love to have you join our team!
Or if you would like to contribute something for the evening - for example a gift basket from your business, or something for a door prize, we'd love that too!  We are specifically looking for photographers, musical entertainers, and people in the food industry who might want to contribute an appetizer or dessert for upwards of 150 people.
We are so thrilled that our dream of building a place for the German language community is finally coming to fruition, and hope to grow even more meaningful with your involvement!
Many thanks in advance, and hope to see you on May 17th,
President / Board Chair
Friends of the German International School of New York, Inc.
