Talks:

• Jim Saunders: Android Pay Token Decryption

• Tom Elliott: Simplifying Microservices with Edward

Android Pay Token Decryption:

Jim will be going over what's in an Android Pay token and how to go about decrypting it in Go using just the stuff provided in the standard library.

Jim works on the Etsy Payments team and worked on the Android Pay integration. I've been programming non-stop since I first learned to code and am a serial tinkerer in pretty much any programming language.

Simplifying Microservice Development with Edward:

At Yext, we have several hundred microservices in both Java and Go. Getting the services we needed running locally used to be a slow and painful process involving many tabs in terminal. This talk will explore the tool we built to reduce all of that to a single command - Edward: https://github.com/yext/edward

Tom is an area tech lead at Yext, responsible for development and maintenance of their Pages product. He's been using (and loving) Go for 18 months.

Registration:

For capacity planning reasons, you must RSVP to be allowed by security into the building, and must have a valid photo ID. We'll be accepting registrations until space fills.

The event will be held on Wednesday, June 21st at Squarespace's office in the West Village, at 8 Clarkson St, 12th Floor. Doors open and food will be served at 6 PM, and talks start at 6:30 PM.
