Legal Clinic: Intellectual Property Issues for Startups/Small Businesses

In the early stages of a new business, intellectual property can be critical for protecting the company’s core ideas, generating revenue, and attracting investors. At this legal clinic, you will receive pro-bono legal advice from volunteer attorneys with the New York State Bar Association. Attorneys will be available to answer questions relating to intellectual property strategy, licensing, monetization, patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and litigation.

Pre-registration (http://www.nyc.gov/html/sbs/nycbiz/html/summary/Legal_Clinic_Intellectual_Property_Registration.shtml) is required so that we can properly match attorneys and attendees. Assistance will be limited to that which can be given during the clinic session and will be delivered to those that pre-register on a first-come, first-served basis.
