A Developers Guide to Marketing your Application

Driving downloads for your application is definitely more of an art than a science, but this talk will discuss the standard baseline things a developer can be doing to make that elusive download number go up. We’ll discuss how to name an application, what makes for a good icon, writing descriptions that matter along with social amplification and application roadmapping. Tools and resources will be shared to help make this process easier.

Lots of useful insights broken down in a way that makes practical sense.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I would like to register my displeasure at seeing the speaker's blog name includes cursing... It certainly is a big turnoff for me so I'm a bit hesitant to think that the 'product naming' section of the talk will be to my taste.<requestOff> I hope you all enjoy the talk and I will await another.

I won't be able to attend today. Reality just got in the way :(
Will there be any way to catch up on the meeting? Notes? Ppt? Code? Website? Anything?

I don't suppose anyone from the Garden City area will be to give me a lift to the event?
