GraphHack @ GraphConnect 2017 NYC (graphs-4-good)

Details

You do not need a GraphConnect ticket to attend!

It's the evening before GraphConnect NYC which means it's time for our annual GraphConnect Hackathon!

The topic for this year's event is graphs-4-good, which means any application that uses graphs for the betterment of society (this can be anything that helps makes sense of data like data journalism, improving medical research, optimizing public transportation routes, or exposing corruption by analyzing public data).

Aside from the great feeling you will get by giving back and hacking for a good cause, you'll have the opportunity to win some amazing prizes and make great friends from all over the world!

We’ll provide datasets (including some from the folks at data.world (https://data.world/)) or you’re free to choose your own. We’ll also have lots of experienced Neo4j Graph Hackers on hand to help.

Prerequisites

You'll need to bring a laptop that can be used for development and have Neo4j installed.

We'll start at 6:30pm so look to arrive around 6:00pm. Some food and drinks will be there on arrival.

Plan to spend the evening hacking on a cool graph application with new friends. We’ll award prizes for teams of up to 4 people selected by our esteemed judges, one team winner per category.

The only hard rules are that your application must use Neo4j, you must join a team and must present your project at the end of the night to have a chance to win.
