Sprint Night: Warehouse (Co-Hosted with PyLadies!)

Details

Join PyLadies and NYC Python for our second Sprint Night! At each Sprint Night, we'll pick one or more open source projects and attendees will all work to improve the software in the Python ecosystem!

This evening, we will work on Warehouse, the next generation Python Package Index! Warehouse is the official third-party software repository for Python, and is the source of packages that developers `pip install`.

Even if you have not participated in an open source project before, you are still welcome to attend!

Sumana Harihareswara and Laura Hampton from the Warehouse project will be present to help everyone out!

What to expect

Welcome people of all skill levels - whether you're an open source beginner or a github guru, you'll definitely be able to contribute. You can work individually or in groups, however you feel comfortable.

In addition to contributors to the project, others familiar with the GitHub workflow will be available to help guide you in making a contribution.

What to bring

  • A laptop
  • A government-issued identification card

To be extra-prepared:

  • Make sure you have `git` installed!
