⚡⚡What is a Lightning Talk? ⚡⚡
A lightning talk...
• ... is a 5-minute talk on any topic, technical or not
• ... is often about something cool you just learned or some open source software you wrote.
• ... can have slides but it's not required
• ... doesn't need to be prepared, but could be
• ... can be given by ANYONE, even someone totally new to Python!
First-timers and first-time speakers are always welcome. Multiple talks per person are allowed (just make sure everyone else has a chance first!) Please no marketing pitches.

All attendees and talks must follow the NYC Python Code of Conduct, which governs all our spaces online and off. https://www.meetup.com/nycpython/messages/boards/thread/51565172

⚡⚡How do I give a talk ? ⚡⚡
Signing up in advance isn't required -- if you'd prefer, just show up and talk. The sign up sheet can be found here:

⚡⚡Is this event recorded ? ⚡⚡
🆕 NEW 🆕 - We're simulcasting on YouTube Live! This is strictly opt-in, i.e. you should not feel pressure to be recorded or livestreamed.
Be mindful that Q&A during the livestream portion will also be captured on the livestream, and as an audience member your name may be -- but is generally not -- visible, so take any precautions you need to feel comfortable, like turning off your video or changing your screen name.
⚡⚡Event details ⚡⚡
Announcements & chit-chat at 5:45pm; livestream / first talk starts at 6pm; non-livestreamed talk practice follows; event ends at 7:00pm.
