July 4th Coney Island Skate (Beginner and Intermediate Segments)

This is a 25-mile skate with both a beginner and intermediate portion. For the beginner segment, you should be able to brake and skate on minor inclines. There will be some street skating. For the intermediate segment, you must be able to brake comfortably on sharp inclines and skate amongst the cars unassisted. There will be a bridge.

Beginner Segment:
Start: Riverside Drive and West 145th St at 12:00pm (25 miles to end)
Pickup 1: Skater's Circle at 2:00pm (20 miles to end)
Break: Hang out and skate at Skater's Circle from 2pm to 3pm
Segment End: Pier 76 at 4pm (17 miles to end)

Intermediate Segment:
Pickup 2: Pier 76 at 4pm (17 miles to end)
Pickup 3: Washington Square Park at 5pm (15 miles to end)
Pick up 4: Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn at 7pm (9 miles to end)
End: Coney Island-Stillwell Q stop at 8pm (0 miles to end)
