Rockaway Skate (intermediate/advanced)

Main Meet up Point is at Sheepshead Bay subway station on the Shore Parkway road side at 11:30 AM and leave promptly around 12:00PM, but based on arrival time of Manhattan Group

• Manhattan meet up location #1 - TNS starting point on East 59 street and 5 Avenue at 9:30AM; rollout sharp at 10:00AM

• Manhattan meet up location #2 - Washington Square at +/-10:15AM - we will be rolling through - up to 5 minutes waiting time at this spot

• Brooklyn meet up location #1 -Brooklyn side of Manhattan Bridge at +/-10:45 - 10:50AM - up to 5 minutes waiting time at this spot

• Brooklyn meetup location #2 - Grand Army Plaza, Main entrance to the park at +/-11:15-11:20AM
  We will have a 5-10 minutes regroup at this location

If you are taking public transportation - Please take first car of "Q" train or walk to the Voorhees Ave exit of the platform. The ride takes about almost an hour from midtown Manhattan.

Skate around the Jamaica Bay and back to Sheepshead Bay. Lots of water view and sea breeze. We will stop at food place of our choosing on Rockaways or will hold this thought until we comeback to Sheepshead Bay for multiple choices of quality food

Distance is approx. 30 miles for round trip from Voorhies Avenue meetup location. However, please note that this event is for intermediate-advanced and advanced skaters.
Cyclists are welcome!
This is a very nice rout - the only "hills" are bridges on the highway!
When we reach Bay 91 Street on Rockaways boardwalk, skaters will have following options:

• Take subway "A" back to city (Shuttle to train A is only 2 short blocks away from Cross Island Blvd bridge)
• Skate back to Sheepshead Bay

Helmet and wrist guards are strongly recommended.
