What would you do if an AI product worked exactly as designed but created unexpected consequences for its users?

Join us for an interactive UX workshop featuring Jorteh Senah, a design professional with experience in generative AI, UX Content Design, fairness, inclusion, and Trust & Safety.

This isn't your typical presentation. You'll work in small groups, meet other professionals and students, and step into the role of an AI product team.
Together, you'll explore three increasingly challenging AI product scenarios, discuss the trade-offs, and decide whether you'd SHIP, REVISE, or BLOCK each experience. Just when you think you've made your decision, new information might change everything.
Throughout the session, Jorteh will share his perspective, discuss the challenges behind responsible AI design, and answer questions from the audience.

What to expect

  • An engaging conversation with our guest speaker
  • Three interactive AI design challenges
  • Small-group collaboration and networking
  • Live decisions, discussions, and unexpected twists
  • Audience Q&A, followed by informal networking

Whether you're a UX designer, researcher, content designer, product professional, developer, student, or simply interested in AI, you're welcome.

No technical AI experience is required. Just bring your curiosity and willingness to challenge your assumptions.

Hosted by the NYIT UX Meetup community.
Come for the conversation. Stay for the connections."
