**SPECIAL EVENT WITH NYEW presenting the first ever Design Thinking Challenge Sprint sponsored by MIT Club of NY and MIT Alumni Association! NOTE: Doors open at 5pm, content to begin at 6pm.

NYEW Steering Committee has spent the last 4 months planning challenges and we are ready to design solutions with actionable projects.

Bring your laptops, design ideas, paper, and writing utensils (if that's your thing) and be ready for an active evening as you work with a group to design a project addressing a challenge of the energy industry.

Evening format:

5:00pm - Doors Open for Networking and Designating of Challenges

6:00pm - Moderated Panel: Pain Points of the Energy Industry
Moderated by: Aline Reynolds, Urban Affairs Journalist and Planner

6:45pm - Breakout session: Identify a pain point to address in the challenge; consider your design solution and strategy for meeting the needs of your end user

7:45pm - “Speed Dating”-style survey of your solution with other attendees

8:30pm - Breakout session: Reiterate your design solution for your target user with new feedback; finalize your execution strategy and be ready to present

9:00pm - Final presentations/pitches of design solution and execution strategy

9:30pm - Wrap-up and additional networking
