When did you first start routing for the Giants and why?

I grew up in NY with a Grandfather who had season tickets. I was lucky enough to go to meaningless games in the freezing cold as a child. I was actually at the Miracle at the Meadowlands game. Yes, I was still there, we never left early. I've been lucky enough to keep the tickets, and have been to tons of games, while I lived back east. I still try to catch at least one game a year with my Dad. I've been to a couple of championship games in 1986 (Giants 17- Skins 0) and 2000 (Giants 41 Vikings 0.) No wonder I am a fan of defense. I was also at the 200 divsional playoff game (Giants 20 Eagles 10) where Jason Sehorn (yeah, I know) made they greatest play I have ever seen. He was defending an out pattern and dove to deflect the ball up in the air. He somehow managed to catch the ball while laying on the ground and then proceeded to get up and return it for a touchdown putting the Giants up 17-0. Anyway, you can see I love my Giants.

Who is your favorite current Giant?

I love them all. If I have to pick, I'll go with OSI UMENYIORA. Let's see how he does with Strahan.

Who is your all time favorite Giant?

LT! What can I say, he changed the culture of the Giants (and of linebackers) as I knew them.

Hello, My name is Gil. I have been living in San Diego for several years. Although I have adopted our local teams, I bleed blue blood for my G-men. I can't wait to see you all at the games.

What Gil is saying about this Meetup Group

Looked better than expected, but still a frustrating loss. Great turnout.
