About the Talk:
It should be no surprise that the location of a home is an important variable in calculating the premium necessary to insure that home. This talk will touch on the recent history of home insurance territories, data sources used in territory models, and a comparison of territories used by several home insurance carriers in R.About Kevin:
Kevin McBeth is a credentialed Actuary at Arch Insurance, where he leads a team focused on cloud-native production API development for insurance premium calculations. Prior to Arch, he held a variety of actuarial, developer, and sales roles at both insurance companies and software companies, including Travelers Insurance, Crum & Forster, Solera, and Coherent. The venue doors open at 6:30 PM America/New_York where we will continue enjoying pizza together (we encourage the virtual audience to have pizza as well). The talk, and livestream, begins at 7:00 PM America/New_York.
