Food carries more than flavor. it carries memory.
Growing up in an immigrant home, a lot of our childhood stories were cooked, not spoken. Some dishes hold comfort. Some hold chaos. Some hold the weight of women who never rested. Some hold the taste of home we can only recreate, never replace.
For our next Living Lab, we’re opening a gentle space to share the foods that shaped us — the ones we loved, the ones we avoided, the ones that traveled with us across continents, and the ones we reinvented here in Toronto.
Come with a dish, a memory, or just a story you hold in your heart.
And at the end, we’ll lighten the mood with a cozy round of Pictionary — because nothing connects people faster than trying to guess what someone intended to draw.
