Early Morning Midtown Photo Walk: Columbus Circle → Times Square → Herald Square
Details
Join NYSP+ (New York Street Photography Plus), Brooklyn Photo Explorers, and Practice Photography: Skill Sharing Workshops for an early morning NYC photo walk. We’ll move at a relaxed pace, stop often for photo opportunities, and focus on practical skills like composition, light, framing, timing, and visual storytelling.
This walk is designed for beginner and intermediate photographers who want to practice real-world street photography in one of the most recognizable areas of New York City. We’ll start at Columbus Circle and slowly work our way through the Midtown corridor, looking for strong compositions, interesting light, reflections, signs, commuters, yellow cabs, street vendors, and everyday city moments.
We will move at a relaxed pace and stop often to discuss composition, camera settings, framing, and how to find interesting images in a busy urban environment.
Any camera is welcome: DSLR, mirrorless, compact camera, film camera, or phone. Any photographer level is welcomed from the beginner to the seasoned pro.
We will meet at Columbus Circle and start promptly at 7:00 AM. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can introduce ourselves and begin the walk together.
