Early Morning Bird & Nature Photography Walk at Prospect Park
Details
Join NYSP+ (New York Street Photography Plus), Practice Photography: Skill Sharing Workshops, and Brooklyn Photo Explorers for an early morning bird and nature photography walk at Prospect Park.
This walk is a change of pace from our city street and architecture walks. We’ll focus on slowing down, observing carefully, and photographing birds, trees, water, reflections, paths, leaves, light through the trees, and quiet park scenes.
Prospect Park is a great location for practicing nature and bird photography because it offers a mix of wooded areas, open fields, water, and wildlife.
We’ll move slowly and keep an eye out for birds and other interesting subjects, but this walk is also open to anyone who wants to photograph landscapes, textures, plants, reflections, and peaceful morning scenes.
Any camera is welcome. You do not need professional wildlife gear to join. We will start promptly at 6:30 AM. Please arrive a few minutes early.
This is a relaxed nature photography walk. We will move slowly, speak quietly when needed, and give each other space to photograph.
All experience levels are welcome.
Longer lenses are useful for bird photography, but they are not required.
If you have a telephoto lens, bring it. If you do not, you can still photograph park landscapes, reflections, trees, flowers, paths, environmental bird scenes, and nature details.
