Early Morning NYC Photo Series: Morning Rush Street Photography in FiDi
Details
Let's start the morning with cameras in hand and photograph Lower Manhattan as the city begins its workday.
For this 90-minute photography session, we'll explore the Financial District, looking for the intersection of people, architecture, light, shadows, reflections, and the energy of the morning commute.
This isn't a sightseeing tour. We'll move at a photography-friendly pace, stopping frequently when something catches our eye.
📍 Meeting Point
The Oculus — inside the main concourse near the central area
We'll meet inside the Oculus, then head out toward Fulton Street and the Financial District.
📷 What we'll look for
• Morning commuters and street scenes
• Light and shadow between skyscrapers
• Reflections in glass and polished surfaces
• Historic architecture alongside modern buildings
• Interesting gestures, moments, and interactions
• Street details and urban textures
• Creative compositions using the surrounding architecture
We'll likely work our way through the area around Fulton Street, Zuccotti Park, Wall Street, and Stone Street, depending on what catches our photographic attention.
