Early Morning NYC Photo Series: Morning Light Street Photography in NoHo & SoHo

For the third session of our Early Morning NYC Photography Series, we're heading into NoHo and SoHo to take advantage of the beautiful early-morning light and some of Manhattan's most distinctive architecture.
This will be a photography walk focused particularly on light, shadow, architecture, and people.
The streets are generally quieter in the early morning, allowing us to slow down and really look for compositions.

### 📍 Meeting Point

Astor Place — near the Astor Place Cube
We'll meet at Astor Place and work our way through NoHo toward SoHo, exploring the streets and architecture along the way.

### 📷 What we'll look for

• Early-morning light and long shadows
• Cast-iron architecture
• Geometric compositions
• Repeating patterns and textures
• Doorways, windows, and architectural details
• Reflections
• People framed by the architecture
• Interesting juxtapositions and street scenes
Rather than trying to see all of NoHo and SoHo, we'll concentrate on finding photographs.
Look up. Look down. Look across the street. Look for the small details as well as the big picture.

### A photographic challenge

During the walk, try for photographs where light and shadow are the primary subjects.
And don't be afraid to experiment with different focal lengths, perspectives, and compositions.

### Who should attend?

All experience levels are welcome.
Bring your usual camera or smartphone. There is no required equipment and no need to have previous street photography experience.
This is a relaxed opportunity to photograph, exchange ideas, and start the day creatively.

Please arrive a few minutes early. We'll begin photographing promptly at 7:30 AM.
