This is the group for all BAs who are sick of watching Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch host meetup groups whilst going "what about us???"!This group helps bring Meetups to the regions - building the Business Analysis community across the whole country!
About the event
I'm Vaughan - a BA from Christchurch - and I'm in Tauranga on the 5th of August delivering a workshop (see https://next-level-ba.com/ to learn more). I am also a massive believer in professional communities - and how great it is to come together to connect, share, and inspire. I run a BA meetup group in Christchurch which has shown me how valuable getting together with your peers is!Recently, a few of us have started the Analysis Collective Aotearoa (https://analysis.nz/) - an online community for BAs, including a central place to navigate to all the cool things that are happening + a forum. Through this it has become very obvious that anyone working outside of the main cities gets missed out a lot when it comes to Meetups and the like - so I'm hoping to help get something started in Tauranga while I'm in town!!
The format for the evening will be:
- 5:30 - 6:00 Networking
- 6:00 - 6:45 Presentation: 'Beyond the AI hype + what this all means for BAs'
- 6:45 - 7:00 Next steps for the Tauranga BA Meetup group (how can we keep this going? what support would be useful? etc)
- 7:00 - 7:30 Networking
So it will be great to have you along - and also great if there is anyone keen to step up and help organise this in the future!!
