The monthly meeting is on. We have an excellent guest speaker presenting, Igor Portugal (http://www.linkedin.com/in/igorportugal) from Vadacom (http://www.vadacom.co.nz):
Vadacom is one of the few places in New Zealand using Python for product development.
This presentation is the story of Vadacom, from the first installation using open source Asterisk PBX, to where Vadacom is today. Igor will talk about the product history, the open source tools used and the reasons they were chosen.
Igor is a software developer turned businessman. Eighteen years experience in New Zealand's IT industry. In 1999 Igor co-founded Asterisk, New Zealand's first Linux specialist practice that was later sold to Gen-i. In 2005 Igor co-founded Vadacom. Igor was one of the founding members of the New Zealand Open Source society and one of the first advocates of the use of Open Source technology by New Zealand businesses
