Coding Evening - Crafting Software

Come to our Coding Evening with your Python questions, suggestions, problems, etc; and/or bring a Lightning Talk about your current topic-of-interest - something new, a recent discovery, a contribution you have made...

1800 for 'water-cooler chat', 1830 start, 2030 (nominal) finish

We will continue the Crafting Software series. These are code-along-at-home exercises. The initial sessions are designed for Beginners, and will gradually 'grow' into areas which will challenge and benefit Journeyman Python Programmers and even Masters. The aim is to complement Olaf's Software Craftsmanship Presentation series with practical coding and observing the advantages of craftsmanship, as we/the code becomes more sophisticated.

If you were unable to attend last month, no problem. We will commence with a QuickStart to (re-)build the developments so-far.

We have a prototype implementation of our 'toy' Business Rule, and have transferred that into the Editor and produced a working-script. We also learned to "Get goin' with git". We'll forge-ahead and carry-over the rest into next month...

Please come, and be ready to participate. Head-sets expected. Questions and conversation will be the order of the day. If you are more confident in Python, your constructive advice, suggestions, and alternate approaches will be valued ...
