Coding Evening - Crafting Software

Details
Come to our Coding Evening with your Python questions, suggestions, problems, etc; and/or bring a Lightning Talk about your current topic-of-interest - something new, a recent discovery, a contribution you have made...
If there's time after those, we will continue the "If or but and" participative hands-on workshop. Last time we looked at some basic comparisons, coded our way through the multiple decisions in the famous FizzBuzz challenge, and worked-through the rules for renewing New Zealand Driving Licenses. We will pick-up the topic at Boolean Data-Types and apply these thoughts to more complicated if-branching and multi-way branching. If there's time we might even look at Enums for decision-making.
This is a workshop. You don't want to listen to me all the time, so hands-on coding will be involved! (they're only 'toy challenges' - no-one will be grading/marking your efforts)
You need to know how to write if-statements and while-loops utilising basic comparisons (first steps in Python level). We build from there!
You are welcome to bring a guest who knows (almost) nothing about Python - you will be able to explain things to him/her, as we go - a good way to get-started with your favorite programming language!
Please come, and come with a collegial frame-of-mind. Questions and conversation will be the order of the day. If you are more confident in Python, your constructive advice, suggestions, and alternate approaches will be valued ...
Please RSVP to be advised of the BBB URL.

- We are always looking for people who will share their Python experience, large or small, hobby or professional.
