Welcome to OGA!
Have you ever wanted to go out and play golf but couldn't find buddies to play with? This a group who invites players who want to have fun and meet new friends, whether you're from the island, just moved here, or just passing through.
This group as been created for the people who LOVE the game of golf as much as we do. We welcome men and women of all ages, ranging from beginner, intermediate, advanced, amateur, professional, or even just recreational.
We will try to be as active as possible, and we will try to reply any questions in a timely matter.
If you have a golfing handicap, great. if not, it's not required.
We mainly play on the island of Oahu, but will schedule occasional golfing trips to the neighboring islands.
We will try to organize a few BBQ gatherings.
We may charge each member $1 per golfing event for some not all events to help pay for the Meetup website.
NO-SHOWS are unacceptable as we make a particular number of tee times to accommodate all of the RSVPs. If you are unable to make it due to an emergency, kindly change your RSVP or leave a comment in the event stating your needs for cancellation. As long as you inform, us we will be understanding. Most golfers share a common bond of respect with each other.
Please respect the basic rules of golf:
- Keep a steady pace
- Be silent when teeing off
- Fix your divots on the greens
- Don't tee off if you know you can reach the person in front of you
- Use the rake in the sand trap
- Respect the Aina. Please don't liter.
Sign-up Requirements:
- $20 annually fee.
- A profile PICTURE of yourself so that the organizers know who you are.
- A profile name. It can be a nick name or your real name.
