Along with hiking, we may also have events for foodies, surfing, snorkeling, camping, beach picnic/BBQ parties, movies, playing sports, and other fun social events! We welcome suggestions for new hikes, trails & activities with the group. Excited to explore in Hawai'i paradise with you! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Group Rules & Policies:
1. Please come prepared on hikes. Not bringing the proper hiking supplies/gear especially on more difficult hikes may put stress, delay, hinderance on the host and fellow members/hikers during the event. Required/recommended supplies are listed in each hike event description. Safety first.

2. Socialize and converse respectfully. Please be kind and considerate to others during conversations. Do not cut off/speak over another member's conversation. Please be inclusive of other's ideas, issues, questions, etc. Let's be good listeners and professional communicators. Good, positive vibes only. Any member/event attendee who makes offensive, negative or discriminatory, unsolicited comments toward another member's gender, sexual orientation, religion, race, etc. will not be tolerated and be removed from the group. Please refrain from using profane, vulgar language including cursing, swearing toward another member/event attendee.

3. Please respect the event organizers, hosts and other members (on waitlist) by changing your RSVP to "Not going" if you cannot attend to event.
- 2 No-shows will result in reminder/warning message. *If member messages event host or leaves comment on event page before the start of event. that will not be considered a No-show.
- 3 No-shows will result in a temporary 2 week removal.
- 4 No-shows will result in temporary 1 month removal.
- More than 4 No-shows will result in indefinite permanent removal from the qroup.

4. Observe people's right to personal space. Keep at least 3 feet of distance between you and the person in front of you. Do not touch others without their permission, except in emergency situations (like helping someone avoid falling.) If you want to help, ask if that person wants help first.

5. All hike events begin with a group photo for safety/emergency reasons. If anyone gets lost, we have a picture of you and what you were wearing when you started the hike. Those uncomfortable being photographed can request that we take 2 group photos, one with them and one without. The one with them will not be posted to meetup and is for reference in an emergency only. On a related note, ask others for their permission/consent to photograph them before doing so.

6. Attendees who leave a hike early are required to notify the host before leaving. If the host is not available, they must notify the next available attendee and that person is required to notify the host. If there are no other persons available to notify, the attendee must immediately message the host in meetup that they are leaving and again once they finish hiking out. Failure to notify the host may result in having to call the police to file a missing persons report.

7. No loud music, speakers on hikes events. Please keep conversations to a moderate volume and be mindful of other fellow hikers on trails who want to enjoy the beauty of nature sounds.

8. Do not bring pets on hikes/events without notifying the host first. The exception being a hike/event that is already listed/posted as pet-friendly. Not all members, attendees are comfortable with dogs/cats, etc.
