Let’s end the year with peace!
A picturesque lake and walking trails are lead attractions on the 400-acre plot of land, and being a botanical garden, the park is also home to more than 65 tree species from across the globe, all marked with descriptive plaques. Towering over the garden is the incomparable Koʻolau Mountain Range with its distinctly beveled grooves, like a mammoth accordion.
Bring a blanket/picnic gear for lunch, and then everyone is welcome to go to Kalama Beach!
RIDESHARE and ADVICE:
Add yourself here or text Glenn at 808-221-7261 to coordinate.
You can also meet at the zoo parking lot in Waikiki 9am, but you MUST list yourself on the carpool list.
PARKING: Google map pin. Please consider carpooling, listed above.
WHAT TO BRING: Please bring comfortable walking shoes, at least 2 liters of water. You (or a bear next to you) might be hungry, so bring a lunch or significant snacks for yourself to picnic after. If you’re going to the beach after, bring a towel, swim cozzie.
Remember that you want to be present, enjoy the hikes and meet other people, so ideally be sober and no recreational drugs in your system.
Meet us at the botanical center by 10:00 am. Optional beach time afterwards, weather pending.
Any questions please contact Glenn at 808-221-7261
