Brix Factory Brewing Bay Bridge Saturday Run

Are you running the Oakland Marathon in 2 weeks, and do you need motivation like beer to get that long run in? If so, we can help you to achieve that last double-digit long run on the Bay Bridge while also visiting a West Oakland brewery to replenish those calories afterwards. For this month's weekend run, we are returning to Brix Factory Brewing.

We will meet at Brix Factory Brewing, and you will have a choice of 3 out-and-back runs -- a short 5k (up to the I-80 Westbound off-ramp viaduct to Grand Ave), a medium 5.73 miles (up to Observation Pier), or a long 9.62 miles (up to Treasure Island via Bay Bridge). All run distances will lead you back to the brewery for drinks. (NOTE -- Brix Factory OPENS at 1PM on Saturdays to the public. Be aware of this change in time if you plan on joining us just for drinks.)

Although the meeting time is at 12PM, we don't typically start the actual run until 10 minutes after the hour.

Like many places in Oakland, there are car break-ins in the area. So, please do NOT leave anything of value in your car to tempt the thieves. They have limited parking lot spaces, and there is street parking around the area. The brewery will open early at 12PM just for us to store our belongings and use their restrooms prior to the run. Brix Factory Brewing is located 1.6 miles west of 19th St Bart, and there's a spot for bike parking.

Like all runs, we will do our best to prevent people from getting lost (verbal directions are often provided beforehand and/or a QR code with directions is printed, as well), and we are very flexible when it comes to pace and distance. All levels of running and drinking experience are welcome!
