Black Birders week!

Details
Come one - come all, I will be leading a POC oriented birdwalk and subsequent powerpoint presentation on the local birds of the San Francisco Bay Area, in honor of, and solidarity with Black Birders across the US. And will be in conjunction with Berkeley Youth Alternatives and The Coopoly 'collective'.
We will start our bird tour at Waterfront Park in Berkeley. We will meet at the corner of Addison st. and Bolivar Dr. near Berkeley Animal Care Services. We can choose to walk south along the Berkeley side of the lake on the Aquatic Park path as far as we want to go, or we can cross the pedestrian bridge over to the Berkeley Marina area.
The important thing is that we are back at our cars by 10:30am so that we can reconvene back at Berkeley Youth Alternatives 1255 Allston way, at 11am for our 1 hour powerpoint on a bit of ornithology, and more 'in-depth' knowledge of some of the local birds we may have seen on our earlier tour.
Folks are welcome to join either or both, the tour and/or the presentation.
This will be an easy walk of about 1 mile.
Please remember to bring:
comfortable walking shoes
Day pack
Water
extra windbreaker
Binoculars if you have them (I will have some extra binoculars to borrow)
All your bird questions
And a positive attitude
COVID-19 safety measures
