Spider Love Hike

Details
We're at it again; off to check out another amazing natural phenomenon here in the Bay Area. This time its the amazing tarantula's on Mt. Diablo (Better known by 1st nation folks as Sacred Mountain). We'll be meeting in the northern part of the Park know as the Mitchell Canyon Area. This event happens only once a year when the spiders feel the need to create the next generation of tarantulas. During the month of September and on into mid October these hairy spiders can be seen out walking on the roads and trails, looking for a partner. This is your opportunity to work on your "Arachnophobia"! We may have some surprise guest make an appearance as well. And believe it or not these tarantulas are pretty docile and sensitive, and cannot fly through the air and bite you on the neck.
