What we’re about
Welcome to Oars & Pours! We're building a community of paddle people (stand up paddle boarders, kayakers, etc.) in the 805. Join us for a weekend paddle followed by a drink and some hangs in Oxnard, Ventura, Carpinteria, Santa Barbara and beyond. 🤙
Whether you're an expert SUPer looking for a little company out on the water, a novice kayaker considering buying a board, or eager to justify your water toy garage space, this group is for you.

Breakfast Club Paddle (Santa Barbara)
Santa Barbara Harbor, 132 Harbor Way, Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara, CA, USFirst paddle of 2026, let's gooooo! We'll meet at the Santa Barbara Harbor boat launch (see map), explore the harbor and Stearns Wharf, and finish off with coffee and a bite at Helena Avenue Bakery down the street!
A few notes:
- ⏰ TIMING: We'll plan to set sail no later than 9:40 AM, so please have your paddle gear on the ramp and ready to roll.
- 🚗 PARKING: Paid public parking is available in the Main Harbor Lot at the boat ramp (483-689 Shoreline Dr, Santa Barbara, CA 93109).
- ⚠️ SAFETY: Remember to have a life jacket on board or you might end up on Harbor Patrol's Most Wanted. (But seriously, you can get a ticket for being life jacket-less.)
If you're new here, read on:
- 🛶 PADDLE: Stand-up paddleboards (SUPs), kayaks, canoes, and the like are all welcome. When in doubt, go for it.
- ➡️ FORMAT: We typically paddle for about an hour, deflate/load our gear in our cars, and then reconvene for some hangs. Shortcuts are welcome and no worries if you have to cut out after the paddle.
- 💡EXPERIENCE: This route involves going from the harbor out into the open ocean. It is usually calm, but may be challenging for beginners.
- 🛟 RENTALS: We're not affiliated with the rental companies but encourage you to research options on your own!
