Paddle for Pastries (Santa Barbara)

Join our first event of 2025: paddling for pastries in Santa Barbara! We'll meet at boat launch in Santa Barbara Harbor (see map), explore the harbor and Stearns Wharf, and finish off with a pastry and coffee with our friends at Jeannine's Restaurant & Bakery down the street!

A few notes:

• 🛶 PADDLE: Stand-up paddleboards (SUPs), kayaks, canoes, and the like are all welcome. When in doubt, go for it.
• ⏰ TIMING: We'll plan to set sail no later than 9:15 AM, so please plan to have your paddle gear on the ramp and ready to roll. If you are late to the rally point and miss us, we'll catch you out on the water. [We cannot afford to wait for stragglers.]
• 🚗 PARKING: You can try grabbing a parallel spot on W Cabrillo Blvd. Otherwise paid parking is available in the Main Harbor Lot at the boat ramp (483-689 Shoreline Dr, Santa Barbara, CA 93109).
• ➡️ FORMAT: We typically paddle for about an hour, deflate/load our gear in our cars, and then reconvene for some hangs. Shortcuts are welcome and no worries if you have to cut out after the paddle.
• 🛟 RENTALS: While most folks in our group bring their own gear, Paddle Sports Center is located at the south end of SB Harbor and opens at 8AM on Saturdays. We are not affiliated with the rental companies and welcome you to research/reach out on your own.
• 💡EXPERIENCE: We recommend some experience as we do not have resources available to teach. If you are a beginner, we recommend bringing a buddy to stick with you.
