About us

We're based right here in Portland, Oregon, where the coffee's strong, the vibes are even stronger, and the Pacific Northwest charm makes every meetup feel cozy and authentic. Whether it's a quiet bookstore crawl in Southeast or a sunset hike at Forest Park, we keep things rooted in the local scene so you can connect with people who really know and love this city just like you do.

Between events, members stay in touch through our private messaging board, where you can chat about past meetups, share life updates, or even plan low key coffee hangouts with someone you hit it off with. It’s not about constant notifications or social media drama it’s a simple, respectful space to keep the connection going at your own pace.

What makes Obsidian Bloom Solitude Strand different is that we’re not here for games or surface level small talk. We carefully design each activity to spark real conversation, whether it’s a collaborative cooking class, a guided forest meditation, or a poetry night by the Willamette. We screen members to make sure everyone’s truly looking for something meaningful, so you can show up as yourself and meet others who are doing the same.

Our events usually run about two to three hours long enough to really get to know people, but not so long that it feels draining. We balance structure and free time so conversations can flow naturally, and we always end with a warm group check in so no one’s left wondering if they made a connection.

If you’re tired of swiping, ready to meet genuine people, and actually want to build something real with someone who shares your values, this is your space. You don’t have to be loud, perfect, or always put together just open hearted and sincere. Join us and see how slow, intentional connection can feel truly special in a world that’s always rushing.
