Let's meet at Carbon Canyon Regional Park for a morning of easy birding. Distance will be approximately 2 miles round-trip. Feel free to join us for all or part of this walk. This park is an eBird "hot spot" with over 200 different bird species identified here.

Carbon Canyon Regional Park is home to Orange County’s only grove of redwoods; 3 acres of majestic Coastal Redwoods (Sequoia sempervirens). A 1.1-mile nature trail to the park's beautiful Redwood Grove offers a special feature for bird watchers and naturalists.

There is a $5 parking fee if you don't have an OC parks pass. We will meet at the picnic tables near the entrance kiosk. After entering through the pay kiosk, take a right and look for the C parking lot. It is right by the entrance. Here is what the parking area looks like:

Bring water, sunscreen, binoculars, and a hat. I have an extra pair of binoculars I can lend if you don't have a pair.

See you there!
