Ensenada Cruise @ Carnival Cruise Terminal (Long Beach)
Details
Please read the full description - UPDATES at the bottom.
I'm sure there will be a thousand questions, so this description will be updated multiple times over the next few weeks. Please come back and read the updated version.
Okay, this is a BIG deal. I'm a bit nervous. We're doing a CRUISE to Ensenada!!
We're departing from Long Beach Carnival Cruise Terminal (231 Windsor Way, Long Beach, CA 90802) on Friday 08/21 and returning on Monday 08/24.
We have a group room allotment under the name OC Happy Hour, and the Group Booking Number is WL31X6.
We will be on the Carnival Cruise Ship: Firenze. Departure time is 3:30 PM but everyone needs to be on the boat by 2:30 PM. I recommend getting there at 12 noon.
Phone Number: Call 866-721-3225 ext 2 to make your reservation. They're open from 9am to 8pm EST (6am to 5pm Pacific time).
IMPORTANT: You need to make your reservation (and pay a $100 deposit) by June 2, 2026, and the full amount needs to be paid by June 7, 2026.
We're on Deck 6. We currently have 8 interior rooms and 4 balcony rooms available (all dual occupancy).
Interior Room: $305 per person (dual occupancy)
Balcony Room: $402 per person (dual occupancy)
When you call in, you can upgrade to whatever you want, but it is important that you make the reservation under our Group Booking Number.
The rates referenced above are locked until 06/02/2026. If you upgrade to a different room, you will pay the prevailing rate at the time you call in.
I have no idea how many people will sign up for this. If we go over our room allotment, we can still get additional rooms as long as rooms are still available on the ship. Right now, there are still plenty available. But just to be safe, please think about this and make your reservation soon. That will allow me to coordinate with Carnival Cruise to ensure we're in good shape.
If all goes well, I think this is gonna be a party :-)
I'm sure many of you will have questions. Please keep in mind that I've never gone on a cruise in my life, so I'm a total novice. I will do my best to get questions answered, but you will probably save time by calling the number above and asking them directly. If you get useful information, please add it in the comments below.
Roommates: If you want to room with a particular person, please get that organized ahead of time and call the reservation number together. I'm not sure exactly how that works, but I'm sure they deal with it all the time.
Who's going? I get notified when people make their reservations and pay the deposit. So far, 5 have paid their deposit and 5 more have placed a 'hold' on their rooms (but have not yet paid anything), so assuming they pay soon, we've got 10 people signed up.
04/23 UPDATE: Please read the comments below. Thank you, Poonum, for calling and posting the pricing information for solo travelers. I'll post additional updates here as new information becomes available.
