Explore Huntinton Beach-Shipleys, Urban Forest, Central Park

Details

Let's take a walk in Huntington Beach! These three are in the same location and a truly enjoyable walk. It's about a 3-5 mile walk.
We'll begin at Shipley's Nature Center. Shipley Nature Center is an oasis nestled in the heart of Huntington Beach’s urban community. Come discover the wonders of this oasis containing southern California’s natural, coastal-chaparral native plant community throughout meandering trails around a fresh-water pond. Enjoy 8 natural habitats on 18 acres.

Next, we'll walk a short distance through the park to the Urban Forest, located in Central Park. The Urban Forest is a community passive park featuring California native plants and trees, and low water flora. Seasonal changes reflected in the vegetation, and the migratory birds and butterflies, add to the enjoyment of visiting this beautiful and unique park.

Moving forward, if time permits, we can walk or drive across the street to HB Central Park, near the City Library. Huntington Central Park is a 356-acres. It provides a quiet retreat from the usual city turmoil Stroll amidst the thousands of beautiful trees and shrubs and expansive lawns. For those who would like to stay for lunch, it is here in the park at The Park Bench Cafe, sitting outside enjoying nature. We can decide when we get there.**Please bring water, hat, good walking shoes, and a love of Nature! *Dogs allowed, woof!
