What we’re about

Did your kid just get diagnosed with ADHD or ASD? Are you not sure what to do or where to go from here? And most importantly, do you feel isolated and alone in this whole process?? Well this is the group for you!! I am a mom of a wonderful 7 year old boy who has been diagnosed with ADHD(combined presentation), ODD and SPD. I have also assisted in teaching classrooms of children with a wide variety of mental and physical disabilities. I had to go through a trial and error period of figuring out how to best help my little guy with learning how to navigate his world and become confident in doing some of these tasks on his own! We have tried everything from medications to natural remedies and diets, so we have had a lot of experience in finding out what works best for him! I want to share what I’ve learned, and make new friends along the way!!
This support group will feature weekly meet ups/hang outs. We are willing to travel and try new destinations. Most of it will be active to keep the little ones on their toes and having fun exploring different cities (don’t worry, we’ll also do more home town meetings as well). I also will have a monthly book club, usually parenting books that I highly recommend to help you navigate this crazy journey. However there will be some fun books thrown in there too, and some even for kids! And finally, I want to share all that I’ve learned with you. From articles, to the latest news and technological advances in medicine that will help you on your way. I’m always here when you need someone to talk to or vent, and I’m here to make parenting your special needs children just a little less lonely. Come join us!
