OCaml Manila: Inaugural Hackathon Night

Join us for the inaugural event of OCaml Manila! In this first meetup, we'll start things light and build a web application in OCaml. More specifically, we'll be building a Pokedex using the Pokemon API! A lot of things have happened around web development in OCaml recently, so it'll be the occasion to revisit the classics while catching up on the latest trends and frameworks.

What’s the Plan?

We'll meet at a café and help everyone get their setup up and running if needed. After getting to know each other, we'll start hacking on the project, everyone will get access to a template they can start with, and we'll be helping everyone when they are stuck or have questions. At the end, we'll see where we are and eventually give a quick demo if anyone wants to!

- Anyone with an interest in OCaml or functional programming, regardless of skill level.
- Tech enthusiasts eager to connect with the local programming community and collaborate on fun projects.

Just Bring:

- Your laptop, ideally with a working OCaml setup. You can follow https://ocaml.org/install and we can help you get setup during the event if you have any issues.
