Talk 2: Revolutionizing Identity
Speaker: Joachim Lohkamp
Abstract: Joachim will talk about Self-Sovereign Digital Identity. While most of the audience will know that we need some form of identity to interact with a blockchain (digital keys) it will be also explained how your identity is the key to control your data and reputation. The current architecture of Identity and Access Management (IAM) is platform centric and is mainly driven by business models of large platforms. The concept of verifiable claims through the blockchain now allows to create an identity that you own and no one can take from you. It is user centric and user friendly - but most importantly it is the right way to do identity.
