OC IMRG Slow Ride & Skills Clinic with California Highway Patrol
Ready to master low-speed handling and build ultimate confidence on your machine? Join fellow OC IMRG members for an exclusive, hands-on Slow Ride Training Day coached directly by California Highway Patrol motor officers.
Whether maneuvering through tight parking spots, executing flawless U-turns, or mastering friction-zone control, this clinic will sharpen the foundational riding skills that keep you upright, smooth, and in command.
Event Schedule & Location
*Date: Saturday, October 3, 2026
- Arrival & Rider Briefing: 8:00 AM (Kickstands down, check-in, and mandatory morning briefing)
*Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM - Location: Westminster Courthouse Parking Lot (8141 13th St, Westminster, CA 92683)
*Cost: $25 per motorcycle (includes lunch) - Eligibility: Current OC IMRG members only
Registration & Payment Policy
*Strict 20-Rider Cap: To guarantee maximum saddle time and direct coaching, this clinic is strictly limited to the first 20 riders. - Payment Confirms Your Spot: An RSVP on Meetup does not hold your space—your spot is not confirmed until payment is received. Unpaid RSVPs will be moved to the waitlist once 20 paid registrations are reached.
*Venmo: Send $25 to @dana-freeman-25 - Payment Memo: Include your full name and "CHP Slow Ride" in the payment notes so we can quickly verify your registration.
What’s Included & What to Expect
*Expert Instruction: Practical cone courses and low-speed drill coaching from active CHP motor officers. Focus areas include friction-zone control, counter-balancing, head-and-eye placement, and tight maneuvers. - Lunch Included: Midday meal provided to refuel and talk shop with instructors and chapter members.
*Controlled Environment: Safe, closed-lot training designed to let you push past your comfort zone without traffic pressure.
Rider & Bike Requirements - Required Gear: DOT helmet, eye protection, riding jacket, full-finger gloves, long pants, and sturdy over-the-ankle boots.
*Bike Condition: Street-legal, registered, insured, and mechanically sound (check tire tread, pressure, and fluid levels before arriving).
