Composer John Russell is taking his family on a vacation when a freak automobile accident claims the lives of his wife and daughter. Consumed by grief, John rents an old turn-of-the-century house to isolate himself and resume work. As he writes music, eerie events suggest that he is not alone. Some investigation reveals that the spirit of a small child haunts the premises. But why?
