A struggling actor hoping for his first big break in Hollywood receives good news: he got the leading role in a major new movie – maybe. When he’s called to meet with the famous director, he’s introduced to his leading lady, the hottest actress in cinema. The director wants to be sure that the unknown and the superstar have the right “chemistry” for his feature before he signs any contracts, so he instructs them to spend a weekend together and complete a couple of secret assignments. Although billed as a romantic comedy, the laughs are few as the two alternately clash, cooperate, bare their souls, and encounter people who may advance or sabotage their plans. Anyone expecting the usual rom-com hijinks will certainly be disappointed, but more discerning viewers will want to watch this one to the end for the remarkable conclusion.
