What Does Artificial Intelligence Mean for Now and the Future? #2

Details

The 2nd of a series; BlueWaterLabs' Artificial Intelligence Meetups with new panelists...

What does artificial intelligence and cognitive computing mean for now and the future? Who is using it right now? Which industries are getting the most traction? What applications have already made the most inroads? What can we expect to see in the near future?

Come join us for an interesting evening with "first to market" AI innovators, cognitive computing leaders and distinct members of academia...

The format: live demos and a panel discussion moderated by @teddy777 (https://twitter.com/teddy777) of BlueWaterLabs. After the panel discussion there will be Q & A followed by informal networking.

The panel:

JP Benini, CTO Majestyk and Co-founder of Elemental Path

John Paul Benini (JP) is Majestyk's CTO and co-founder of it’s spinoff, Elemental Path, which is positioning itself to disrupt the eLearning and toy markets with the world's first dialog driven cognitive toy powered by Elemental Path's own secret sauce and IBM's Watson technology. He is a self-taught server and network infrastructure specialist, having worked with Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan Chase and NASDAQ OMX, where he accrued a deep understanding of trading system design and low latency/high volume systems architecture. JP first turned his attention to the more entrepreneurial side of technology, leaving finance tech to become a key member of Majestyk, using his expertise to design and implement massively scalable application back-ends for the mobile app and connected device spaces. Recently, He and his team have made waves by winning the IBM Watson Mobile Developer Challenge against more than 400 business concepts, submitted by teams spanning 18 industries from 43 countries. He has also represented mobile development trends at the White House LGBT Innovation Summit, as well as shaping the cognitive computing space, leading discussions on AI and CC in various technology panels.

Oliver Christie, co-founder and CEO of XLabs

Oliver is the co-founder and CEO of XLABS. After University he worked as a stockbroker and FX trader in the UK. Experience of pattern analysis for financial forecasting lead naturally to neural networks and a better way of getting the job done. XLABS was setup to harness the power of Artificial Intelligence to build better enterprise software. The first software can compress data to 99.92%.
